Good things come to those who wait So I waited a year and another Good things come to those who wait And I never knew, would it ever But something good surrounds me now And wraps me in the arms of another For something good, I know you now A bewildering thing Such a beautiful feeling Hmmmmm

Turn the radio down, turn the TV off Feeling comfort in a quiet way I don’t wanna know, I don’t wanna know What I know they’re gonna say Filling up with words and reasons While we’re choking on the blame It’s a feeling you’ll never know Tale a deep breath in, it don’t feel the same How about it? I feel safe when I’m alone How about it? Sounds nice Shed my skin, leave it at the door Leave my here, I know I know It doesn’t hold me as before In this feeling of familiar In the comfort of my name Take a deep breath in, it won’t feel the same How about it? I feel safe when I’m alone It’s after dark and I’m daydreaming walking home No heavy heart and knuckles white Never think twice How about it? Sounds nice I feel safe when I’m alone Walk me home When I’m alone How about it? I feel safe when I’m alone It’s after dark and I’m daydreaming walking home No heavy heart and knuckles white Never think twice How about it? Sounds nice

Lost Boy 03:07
Silver in the moon and silver in the bus stop glow You’ve already had a few behind the Avenue Store. When my mother told me don’t go out without your coat, I should have listened to her, did you listen yours? Boy I know you’re faking You’re a lost boy in the making. Running out on school, Were you always so damn cool? I can tell you’re floating Like a feather on the skin of the sea In only a wave you’ll be sinking with all the lost boys. And are you feeling lost boy? On a Saturday the winter had us on our knees And you’d laugh at all the other kids who were Going home early Did you dream of being such a man when you were smaller? Now there’s holes in your shoes and they’re taking on water. Boy I know you’re faking You’re a lost boy in the making. Running out on school, Were you always so damn cool? I can tell you’re floating Like a feather on the skin of the sea In only a wave you’ll be sinking with all the lost boys. And are you feeling lost boy? Oh and all the lost boys And are you feeling lost boy? (Repeat) I can tell you’re floating like a feather on the skin of the sea In only a wave you’ll be sinking with me

Lakehouse 03:19
I took a walk Around the edges of the water Didn’t know when I was headed But I just felt like l oughta Yeah I’m sorry That I never do much talking I can feel the words escape me When I go to speak, they fail me I keep bowing from the weight of it all What you told me at the lake house I keep trying to make sense of it all What you told me at the lake house I find it harder When the pain goes into hiding It never lets me name it And it never lets me find it It creeps around me Like an ivy on a tower It holds me like a mother Just enough to watch me cower Like a dog who knows the end is coming Just around the corner It takes me by surprise But I embrace it like a brother I keep bowing from the weight of it all What you told me at the lake house I keep trying to make sense of it all What you told me at the lake house I keep bowing from the weight of it all What you told me at the lake house And when you told me that your pain, it sneaks up on you Like a spectre in the rear view You know it’s there but it can’t touch you I felt my own ghosts They were reaching out to hold you Oh I wish that I’d have told you Wish that I’d have told you I keep bowing from the weight of it all What you told me at the lake house I keep trying to make sense of it all What you told me at the lake house Your pain it creeps around you Like an ivy on a tower Oh it holds me like a mother Just enough to watch me cower Like a dog who knows the end is coming Just around the corner It takes me by surprise What you told me at the lake house

about

This EP came together from conversations that we had at rehearsals about growing up. Reaching adulthood is a painful affair at times & we all take turns leaning on each other. This is our coming-of-age EP with songs for the pivotal moments of this strange and wonderful life. Newfound freedom is glorious but trimmed with a little darkness that we must all grapple with throughout our lives. Coming face to face with being a woman in this world, finding love for the first time, becoming ourselves and learning how to deal with the heavy stuff. We’ve packed it all in and hope it makes you feel something.
